Adult Counselling It's not just children and young people that need support. Adults often have times when relationships are under strain, and there are many reasons why someone might want support.
I won’t judge or take sides.
I simply encourage anyone I'm working with to share their thoughts and feelings – and help you to resolve your difficulties and find a way forward.
Often it's simply a case of helping you to make sense of what has happened to you in the past.
If you think my adult counselling service can help, please contact me to book a session, or to ask for more details.
Typical trigger events
Family break-ups
Work problems
Outside pressures (e.g.- exams)
Changing family dynamics (due to new partners, etc.)
Coping with children and teenagers
Bereavement
Moving house
Changing schools

In addition to in-person counselling, I also offer video or telephone counselling
Some people might feel uncomfortable visiting me face-to-face and would prefer to engage safely and privately using video or telephone.
Video enables me to engage directly with the child, young person or adult, offering the closest medium to working face-to-face.
Online therapy and counselling from the comfort of your own home
Online counselling is carried out via WhatsApp or Teams which are both secure and encrypted web platforms. This can be done from the comfort of your own home as long as you have a private space to have the conversation.
Use a laptop, computer, phone, or tablet (and you may need to make sure that your device’s microphone and camera are working).
When we are both connected by video link, we will probably spend a few minutes checking the camera position is OK and that we can both see and hear each other.
I will discuss how it’s going to work and ensure you know what to do if the connection is interrupted.
An important part of counselling is that you feel heard and understood. This is no different for face-to-face, online and telephone counselling.
Our sessions – however they are carried out – will offer you a safe space to talk about your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Support is here for: Anxiety, Loneliness, Depression, Stress, Family Relationships, Low Mood, Self-Esteem, Sleep, and many other emotional triggers.
Online/virtual counselling has been found to be just as effective as face-to-face sessions.
